50's Party

Two weeks ago we had a ward Family Home Evening that was a 50's party. With over 100 people there I think there were about 4 of us not dressed up. (I was in the middle of studying for a final - so was just "stopping by," but ended up staying for a while to watch.) Our bishop has a car dealership and he cleared out the showroom. There was a live band. And then everyone was dressed up in adorable 50's attire and dancing up a storm. I only watched the limbo and dancing (wasn't really dressed for it - which was sad. I'm a 50's fan.) but did participate in the hula hoop contest - and came in 2nd! (for longest up - around 5 minutes). As I was leaving I decided I had to come back and get a couple of pictures. They don't really do justice, but they give you an idea.
(On the left - that's my bishop and his wife in the background.) (Really wish I could have gotten Cassie from the front, but they were dancing too fast!)

This looks really fun! If I could go back and live in any era, it would be the 50's. My parents loved it!
