News about Asael

We found out this week (after many weeks of back and forth) that Asael is definitely coming home from his mission for a surgery on his knee.
He hurt it back in December, right before Christmas and has had troubles ever since. They put him in a car area and he's tried to take it easy. But he's a missionary! Most every day it swells up is very painful (from what I understand). Finally, after MRIs and more they've decided they know what it is and that he needs an operation "immediately". He'll come home tomorrow (Saturday, April 4) and have his surgery on Thursday. If things go well, they'll just do the surgery doing whatever it is they need to do. But it is also a possibility that they're going to have to graft cartilage from another part of his body to fix the problem. After that, he'll have rehab until he's up and going again. He'll have to be able to walk a certain amount each day without pain and then they'll let him go back out.
Any prayers you could spare for him would be much appreciated. For him emotionally (stinks to come home right in the middle of your mission), for him to have enough cartilage, for him to be able to recuperate quickly, for the surgeon performing the operation, etc...
On a positive note, we're all excited to see him! :) I'm hoping he might get to come to my graduation, but if not I'm pretty sure he'll still be rehabbing when I go home in May.
