I don't have time for a long entry, but I just wanted to update those few of you who really want to know what I've been up to lately.
After graduation I spent the next 3 weeks having a glorious, wonderful summer vacation. Like the old fashioned kind from childhood where you have no responsibility. Only, instead of reading I spent my time doing all kinds of other things that I wanted to do--sewing (I'll show off projects sometime), finishing my bar application (3 days!!; massive amounts of info), running errands, writing notes, cooking, packing, and I don't even remember what else. Also eating, hiking, biking, etc. with friends/family. It really felt good to get some things done.
Then I packed up (thanks to all who helped!) and left my things in storage (more about that some day) and headed to Wyoming. I had a lovely drive up and then enjoyed a week with my family. Asael was still around and we played. Hyrum graduated that Monday. Then Thursday Asael got to go back to his mission and Hyrum and Benson went to Cody for the state track meet. Enjoyed a couple of days as an only child (though I would rather have the boys). Then Mother, Father and I went down to Idaho to go to a cousin's wedding in Rexburg. My Utah siblings met us there and then the next day, at the Rexburg temple, R/S/E surprised us by showing up! :) I also got to see many of my extended relatives. We were also pleasantly surprised to see our good friend Russ! (he was there for a brother's wedding--go figure). Anyway, great day and then a nice relaxed Sunday with the family.
Today, Rachel and I went to see the Golden Spike Memorial (where the transcontinental railroad was finished)--it was awesome! And then, to celebrate Memorial Day, we went to my Grandma & Grandpa's grave; it was good. I'm so grateful for the wonderful people who have shaped who I am because of who they were.
That's where I am now.
And future: I'm heading out tomorrow for Arkansas. Should be there mid-week sometime. Going to work part-time for my old boss (an amazing immigration attorney in Rogers) while I study for the bar exam. End part of July I'll head to AZ for a family reunion, followed by the bar. And hopefully by then I'll know what I'm doing next. "Line upon line" is the main instruction I get in answer to my prayers right now. And currently the "line" that needs taken care of is to study. And Study. And STUDY.
