Sometimes really good things happen

This week has been a good one for good news.  And because hearing good news makes me happy, it also makes me want to share it.  I've shared with my roommates but it didn't really sate my appetitie; now I'm sharing with you.

On Tuesday I found out that a dear friend of mine (Lila, I lived with her while studying for the AZ bar, Johnny boy's aunt) is having a baby boy.  In 17 or so years of marriage she and her awesome husband have tried and tried to have children.  They have one daughter who is now 7.  And now Lila's 5 months pregnant with this little boy. I am so, so thrilled for her!! 

On Tuesday we received news that a heart had become available for my uncle.  On Wednesday morning we heard that the whole-night-long surgery had gone well and everything seems good so far.  He had a heart attack last Christmas season and has been waiting since then. He and my aunt have a son on a mission in India and another with the military in Afghanistan, so it's been an interesting year. Anyway, praying for all of them.  As well as for the family who lost a loved one.

Finally, yesterday (Wednesday) I found out that Nancy got her "dream" (at least for now) job at the University of Wyoming.  She'll be moving up there in January.  How did we end up all grown up? 

As for me, there are million updates in my life--some of which I plan on writing one of these days.  Things are going well. Really well. At least internally. I'm happier and more at peace that I have been in a long, long time.  But more about that when we come back to me.  For now, I'm enjoying the joy of others.
