I'm alive

I survived Girl's Camp.

I'm surviving the hurricane, so far.

Just in case you were wondering.

Oh, that's so short. I better add some more thoughts.
On GC:  I used to think leaders didn't want to go to Girl's Camp because of the "camp" part. Now I realize it's the other half. At least for me.  And why do people like my mother love it? Do they love both halves? Hmm. Ruth needs to do some growing in patience and love, that's what I learned.  I also learned that despite what other sources tell you, there are lots of wonderful young people striving to live chaste, virtuous lives.  And THAT was a wonderful thing for me to see. Worth all the rest.

On hurricanes: I think they're awesome*.  I'm excited to be back on the east coast to get to enjoy. (Although the last time I experienced the effects was when I lived in Arkansas--not east coast.)  Living so far north we get storm, not so much hurricane, but it's still fun. (It's blowing out there as I write.) I do hope that we don't lose power; I don't want my freezer items to thaw. :(

On being sick: (did I mention that I got sick at girl's camp? so did a third of the camp. it happens). I am fascinated by watching sicknesses move through confined groups of people*. Really. Especially if I happen to be one of first ones sick (thank you, camper in my cabin) so I don't have to worry about it getting to me.

On not having church: NO ME GUSTA! :(  I completely understand why--I would not encourage anyone to be out driving right now either.  But not having church on Sunday is not fun.

Okay, time to stop writing because I can't even think cohesively right now.

* Do you think it's weird that I like watching "bad" things happen? (hurricanes, sickness) I don't, but maybe some people do.

I've never experienced GC. I hope I can go someday.

I totally understand your feelings about no church on Sunday. I remember during the winter when church was canceled b/c of the snow storms.

I guess it made me realize how blessed I am to be able to attend church so frequently.

Also, I don't think it's strange that you like bad weather. I enjoy crazy snow blizzards. lol :)

Stay safe. :)
