... and more than just in my mind. I'm so excited! After an interview yesterday I was offered and accepted a job today that is located in Charlotte, NC. It's at an office that works with "battered immigrants" (immigrants who are victims of abuse). It's doing exactly what I want to do and it's in North Carolina. I'm eager for the chance to be in N.C. because I think that's where I want to end up. But it's been awhile since I've actually lived there, so it will be good to try it out.
There are still many details to work out, but now at least I know I'm going! I'll be there for at least 10 weeks (and getting paid). And I'll figure out the rest.
P.S. Some of you who know me and my past with making decision may be surprised at how quickly this happened. But I received my confirmation a few weeks ago (unusual, at least for me) - but it actually ended up being important because in the interview she very specifically asked if I was willing to accept a position immediately or if I needed to think about it. And I actually knew for once in my life! :) Grateful for how that worked out.

Hooray! I am so excited for you to be in NC again! I love it there too! Maybe you can come see us in Savannah or we can maybe drive to Charlotte. So if this is paid does that mean you don't get credit again?
Congrats!
Maybe we can come see you this summer! That would be fun.
Congrats!!! That sounds like the perfect job for you. I'm glad you'll be slightly closer to us. We'll hang out
That is so exciting for you. By the way I actually get in the night of the 19th at like 8pm or something. Maybe we'll pass eachother in the airport :)
dee - yes it means no credit. But it's 10 weeks and the summer is 16, so I'm hoping to do 3 or 4 of something else and get some credits (I can only get 6 in a summer anyway). And I'll probably go to NC early, so then if I want to stay and volunteer there I can do that. We'll see.
Jordan - I would LOVE if you guys come visit. In fact I would be thrilled to have anyone visit.
Megan, if I drive I'm planning on visiting Michigan either on the way out or on the way back and I would definitely come visit you guys too.
Chay - maybe I will see you. I think I fly out at 7, but you know how airports really are. :)
Ruth! I can hardly keep up with your travels! Back to NC! You'll have a blast I'm sure. I'll pray you have an easy adjustment and enjoy your work. It sounds perfect for you.
