Oaxacan happiness

Right at this moment my tongue, my tummy, and I are very happy.
This morning I was lallygagging and as I was ready to run out the door I realized that I had nothing for lunch. So I resigned myself to having to get lunch from wherever the other office folk got it. Sigh. Well, turns out it was great.

About 1/2 hour ago a client came in to make a payment and offer tamales and cheese for sale. She's from Oaxaca and so they're Oaxacan style. Sounded like a good lunch so I took them: spicy, green, pork tamales and fresh cheese (actually Kedron bought me the cheese because I couldn't decide if I wanted it or not).

Went back to my lair and unwrapped my lunch. That's when I discovered the tamales were fresh. I mean, she must have wrapped them and come straight here. And the cheese was made last night (it's incredible!).

This blog is just an attempt to stop me from eating all 6 tamales and the whole pat of cheese. But now that it's over, what's to stop me?
