Not room enough to receive it

"Prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."
Malachi 3:10 (and some others)

All my life I have been a very blessed girl.  Both I and my family have always had what we needed to live and much, much more than necessary of things that truly mattered. So, I've experienced the blessings of tithing all my life and didn't really need to prove that Lord in that.  I love paying tithing and I believe this scripture.

But the past few days, I've gained a new appreciation for the idea that there can be so many blessings that there shall not be room enough to receive them.  Within a very short period of time I gained not one, not two, but three jobs.  Doing all three would require me to work 80-100 hours a week.  I'm not sure I room enough for all that.  But, it's hard to turn down a job, any job, after having none for awhile.

A little about the jobs and then about proving the Lord.  Job 1 is at a grocery store.  I've been working to get it for awhile.  It's part time and pays very little but is something and I'm grateful.  I started this week.
Job 2 was a lead from a few weeks ago.  This week I did the training and it became finalized.  It's about 8 weeks, part time, on my own time (on-line evaluation of Spanish proficiency).
Job 3 fell into my lap.  Really.  A girl I met at legal event a few weeks ago gave my name to this staffing agency and they called me on Thursday morning practically begging for me to come work on a contract attorney position doing Spanish document review for the next 3-4 week, full time +, paying nice wages (attorney wages).
Clearly, none of these are long-term solutions for employment, but they will allow me to do more than live on the barest essentials (read: get an eye exam, buy contacts; you know, stuff like that) and (the part I'm really excited about) make progress in paying off law school loans.  Hooray!

I do think that I'll probably have to let go of one of them, so we'll see how it all turns out.

Finally, one of the things that really makes all of this a greater joy to me is the fact that it actually is coming right after "proving the Lord."  Not with tithing, as that is easy for me (did I mention, I love being able to pay tithing?).  But with other things involving following the counsel of the prophet and my parents, related to living within my means, sacrificing to reduce my monthly budget, generous fast offerings, etc.  I could go into detail about all that, but I won't on my blog.  And then the blessings came pouring in so immediately that it is almost startling (including, within minutes of some of these choices, receiving a large check from a former client).  So much that could be dismissed as coincidence, but I'm quite certain it's much more.
