Just some stuff

Here goes another list of random things so you can feel connected to me. :)  And maybe feel inspired to comment so that I can feel connected to you.

1. I'm happy.  Cannot say this enough.  It's fabulous.

2. I rode my bike from my house, through towns on great bike trails, up a very long, very steep hill to the temple.  I was soaked in sweat, but I made it.  I felt extremely victorious.     I also ride the bike many other places.

3.  A dear friend of mine here in Boston, who was the only member in her family for many years, just had her brother get baptized.  He has become my friend also (as has their mom) and it was really special to get to be part of his special day.

4. I'm 2/3s of the way through transcribing my Grandpa's mission journal.  It is really fun to read and learn about him, and about that time period.

5. My roommates are getting ready to leave for summer internships.  I'm sad.  Laura leaves this week and Lindsay the next. :(

6. I made a cute shirt yesterday.  I'd started it sometime in February (I know because I was watching a BYU game while I sewed), but I decided to experiment and ended up with it being too small, so didn't finish.  I finally cut out a new piece, took it apart, added the new part and finished it. It's cute.  One of these days I'll take a picture and show you.

7. I've done major rearranging of my room, which also entails lots of organizing and shifting life around.  So excited about the changes.

8.  It's spring here and oh, so gorgeous.  It also makes me remember what was happening this time last year.  Crazy that I'm in the same place another year in a row.

9. I've done some fun things with my community.  A community clean up.  Volunteering in the local Growing Center. Etc. So good to get to know people and to feel connected.

10. I learned how to make vegetable lasagna from a good friend (who makes incredible vegi lasagna) on Mother's day. My visiting teachee (with whom I have cooking lessons every month) initiated it and it was a lot of fun.  Fun to cook and eat and to visit and be together.

Life is good!

I'm writing you an email too :) Thank you for the updates. I'm especially glad that you are happy. Awesome about the bike riding. I miss bike rides. I love hearing hopeful stories about family members getting baptized. Very cool that you were apart of it and are their friend.

Hope you are going to share your Grandpa's my Father's journal when you are finished. I've been reading my Grandmother's journal and have felt a special connection.
I love you.
