Quick! I need ideas

If anyone reads this before the day is over...

I really felt the need to go to the temple this morning and the stars aligned and I was able to go. It was good to be there. And I left with this idea--I'm not going to say that it was inspired, but I like it and I'm going to do it.
I've been feeling the need to be distracted, in part so that I'm not (figuratively) picking at wounds and so that I'm not all gloom and doom with everyone around me (including Rachel, who will be here in about 30 hours!).
Also, it is my birthday next week. Influenced by a variety of sources (including my own blog and my journal), I've been I was thinking how I'm sad that I don't have more time to do a 32 by 32 or something before my birthday. Because nothing distracts me more and makes me happier than having goals to work toward (and right now they need to not be work or household chore or financial goals).  Well, while I was in the temple it came back and I thought--why not? Why can't I do 32 by 32? They just have to be slightly smaller things.

So, by the end of the day (I might be checking off even as I'm adding), I'm going to have a list of 32 things to do by the end of my 32nd birthday (that's gives me the day of when people are playing with me to finish anything up).

Any great ideas?
(and send them along even if it's not today--this will be a rather flexible list and 64 things are even better than 32)

Few factors to consider. I'll have 9 days (plus today) to complete them. It's freezing here. Rachel will be in town for most of the time (she's ready!). We'll have a rental car for 3 days (one being Sunday). Saturday and Sunday are fairly booked--though I've kept Saturday morning free. And, well, that's enough factors for now.

It's hard to give you suggestions because you've done so much more than I have =). Of course finding new local places to visit/sights to see is always doable. Also, having a new experience (I've never gone fishing, ridden a horse, or gotten a pedicure, so those are on my current list), getting a new skill (I want to learn to make sushi and sew, but you're already a seamstress), or giving something special to someone else (a new volunteering experience, a special letter to family, etc.). That's all I've got at the moment =)

Okay, so this is late your time, but I LOVE your pizza. So I think you should make a pizza for someone else. Service and good food - what could be better?

I think you could do a couple things. Since you love service, and service is incredibly gratifying, you could aim to do 32 hours of service.....or, you could always just do things :) some items you do that are fun and could be meaningful, and they don't all have to be "things":
(1) Share your favorite bible passage with someone. Write in your bible their name on the passage, so when you turn there in the future, you will think of them.
(2) Go to the movies AND order popcorn (pitch perfect anyone?)
(3) Bake something.
(4) Stay up all night!
(5) Learn a new card game.
(6) Tell ghost stories in the dark with a flashlight. (seriously, have you done this since you were a wee tot? I haven't! - you could even wear a cape!).
(7) Get a manicure.
(8) Go on a scavenger hunt.
*that's all I've got for now.

Have FUN!

Meg--Love them! Sewing was originally on my list (but I decided I probably won't spend Rachel time on it). New skills are definitely something to think about for my life generally. And the letters were a great idea--I added the TY to my parents that I've been wanting to do (at vague times) and Aline also suggested it and added Benson on (he's in the MTC right now so it's a good thing.

Leslie--:) Great minds think alike. One of my first ideas, for my celebration with Jiyeon, and I was probably in the midst of it (or of cleaning up from it) when you commented.

Sara--Awesome. This is part of the reason I'll have to do another round of this. I love #1 and I am definitely going to do it sometime. (Mailing a Book of Mormon with a special note is kind of like this, but I like the name idea too.)
#6 is coming right up the day after my birthday, with my ward (but maybe we'll preview it in our living room!)
And #8 made me laugh because I was thinking yesterday that this whole list of crazies in fast and furious mode felt kind of like a scavenger hunt. So there you have it!
