Baby good news minute

Don't worry--I'm not having a baby. Apparently Asael and I both assured our parents of that fact on the same morning that Nancy coined the above phrase. Which I loved.

And that's what our family has been enjoying lately. I thought I'd share since most of you know or know about the mothers and/or fathers.

All the married siblings in my family are expecting babies. Isn't that exciting?

Nancy is due--well, any time. Her due date is April 9, but starting on Tuesday she's safe to deliver. She's having an at-home birth, so the dates are especially important (she gets about a 4 week (?) window that she allowed to deliver at home ).  She looks very pregnant in the pictures/on Skype--and boy, does she look my mother!! I still can't quite believe my baby sister is having a baby. I remember, very well, when she was born. Crazy. She and Brent are really excited for Baby Pearce to arrive.  And Aunt Rachel is scheduled to go up and help; and I'm so thankful she's around and able to do that.

Sofia and Roland are expecting a baby boy on July 4. As most of you know, this is extra special exciting news for them. :)  They're hoping he comes a little earlier so she doesn't have to have a C section. Just a couple of days after I moved to VT, Sofia called to ask Tia Ruth if she'd like a sobrino. Yes, please! I just wish I was closer to play with him.

And last of all, we got cute Valentines pictures from Laura with homemade V-day pretzels for Lietta, McKay, Talmage and Baby!  :)  (If they were my pictures I'd post one--so cute and such a cute way to tell everyone.) Laura's due the latter part of August. Whitney told me today that for a few months now they've been sleeping through the night--so it must be time to have another baby. :) I'm so glad they welcome children to their good, good home.

And now, for a cute commentary from my mother (Grandmother to these babies). I'll just copy and paste from her letter to her family:
"I remember one year when all the married brothers’ wives had children and Mother, a rancher´s daughter, commented that it was a 100% calf year.  I, a farmer´s wife and taught by my mother, have similar thoughts and count these children as blessings for serving.  And we would like a few marriages while we are gone, please."

Maybe we'll have a marriage good news minute one of these months. But for now I'm enjoying the news of babies. Even from far away and not knowing when I'll see them, I'm thrilled they're coming. :)

I couldn't exactly remember this quote you told me that your mother said about the calves so I'm glad you wrote it on your blog. Reading it reinforced it in my mind- so fun! Can't wait to hear Nancy's birth story and so happy for all your other siblings.
