Bavkground: For the past several weeks it's been pretty overcast. Some scattered clouds letting in light but mostly just overcast. No snow to brighten it up (and no complaints!). Grays.
So today I got out of work (early!) and started getting ready to go to Boston. I piddled around and eventually the sun went down. I realized I was going to be making the four hour drive in darkness and wasn't thrilled. The rain had stopped and with 60+ degree weather I wasn't concerned for the roads, but still I don't love driving in the dark.
So I left my little box in a box, drove out of my covered parking, and got onto the interstate. It took a few minutes, but then I realized! It was clear. Completely clear. And there was a full (or close?) moon. It was super bright! One of those nights you can see far, where the sky is gorgeous, and the moon lights the world.
I felt so very blessed. I love the moon, I love light, I love the symbol of the physical light. And even though a moon is not a star, I felt like it was lighting my path to my Christmas.
So I drove by the light of the Christmas moon. All the way to my dear friend Dorothee and family. :)
Merry Christmas world!
