Curlilocks and the Three Cars

Once upon a time there was girl named Curlilocks who lived in a nice house in a nice neighborhood of Provo and who drove a nice, green car. Well, actually the car looked nice but it had been having serious heart problems for some time. One day while driving to Heber, the green car's heart gave out. A few hours later it was resuscitated, and Curlilocks got to her sister's house. But the next week, on Curlilocks very own birthday the car's heart really gave out. Fortunately, a kind, buff man was with Curlilocks and helped her move the car to a safe place but it was never really driveable after that.
What was Curlilocks to do? She lived 4.5 miles from her school and no buses came to her very nice neighborhood and she needed to be at school every day.
Well, happily for Curlilocks, her brother had a car named Hidalgo. Hidalgo was a gift from a nice cousin and the brother didn't drive him very much. [Plus, he had a girlfriend who had a car anyway.] Curlilock's brother let her drive Hidalgo for almost two months. Hidalgo was wonderful - he had great visibility, a huge gas tank, and drove wonderfully. Curlilocks was happy with Hidalgo. But she did want her own car so she looked at buying one and then finally decided to find a new heart for her old one. After many phone calls her uncle in Idaho found a heart just right for a transplant.
In the meantime, Hidalgo and Curlilocks had many adventures with temporary parking passes, wrongly given parking tickets, etc... They became too close with the nice ladies in the parking office.
And then the day came that Hidalgo had to go home. Curlilocks' brother and his fiance needed Hidalgo to run many errands before their wedding. So, Hidalgo left. But in his place, the kind fiance let Curlilocks drive her car: Charlie Brown.
Hidalgo was a gallant car from 1985, but Charlie Brown was something special. A 196?, boat of a station wagon he had been in the fiances family since he was born. He was spectacular for driving on snowing days since Curlilocks felt very confident that no sliding vehicle would possibly hurt her. And Curlilocks' neighbors fell in love with Charlie Brown. He reminded them of their glory days, he had "class and style".
While Curlilocks had Charlie Brown to look at and love, she continued to work on her car's transplant. After her uncle prepared the heart, a nice man Curlilocks had never met (but who was the father in law of her dear friend) brought it on a trailer all the way from Idaho. After Christmas another kind man, Curlilocks' El Salvadoran "papa" helped her take the heart and the car to the doctor.
A few days after New Years Charlie Brown went home to Curlilocks' sister in-law and brother, to happily join Hidalgo (who was quite full of stories as he had just returned from a honeymoon).
And a few days after that Curlilocks joyfully welcomed home her car. She is happy to have her car back. Now she only has one concern: after enjoying personified cars for 2 1/2 months, she wonders, should she name her car?
What do you think?

I think two things:
First, great story.
Second, you should name your car "Good Grinch" because it's heart grew three sizes around Christmas time.

I think you should name it Storm, since the heart was transported from Idaho in a raging blizzard.

I think you should name it Hulk or Jolly Green Giant...b/c the heart did grow....

Ruth,
Isn't the correct spelling "SalvadorIan"?? with and I?? You are the English teacher, so correct me if I'm wrong. Elisabeth thinks you should name your car RRRRRRR. I asked her and she said rrrrrrrrrrrrr. Since the car is rrrrrrunning now, I agree. Sofia

That's how I spelled it - but the spell check didn't like it. So, who knows? Thanks for getting Elisabeth's input! :)

Your car looks female to me, so I suggest the name "Emma". I used to love a book when I was a child that had a train named "Emma" in it. That's why I've always thought that it is a good name for a tough vehicle, don't you agree? I did some research, the name means "whole" and "universal".

Here is a link to the English CD of the book and a picture of Emma:
