Bit by a dog

On Saturday morning (after I made the chain) I went running.  About 2 minutes into the run, a dog bit me.

You read that right: A dog bit me.

I would show you the incredibly lovely marks on my leg (I have them because my mother insisted I take pictures), but remember, my computer's broken...  Suffice it to say, there're scabs where it broke the skin (not by much) and missive bruising, because mostly it just broke things under the skin.

So, when I've told people that I got bit, from my mother (on the phone with me at the time) to all the people at church who wanted to know what happened (it really looks pretty nasty) I got essentially two reactions.  Almost all comments could be categorized into these two things, very different from each other.

So, what's your reaction when I tell you, "A dog bit me."  ??

That is scary! My first reaction would be to ask you if it did break skin to make sure you don't need a rabie shot. And we've been talking about making a chain to count down Azure's birthday. I think we'll do it for FHE tonight!

hmmm...well, first to know if you were okay. Next to know if you told the owners because I'd hate for someone else to get bit. Not cool. My friend's dog bit someone and animal control came and she had to follow all kinds of rules etc. but honestly, think if you were a little kid- it could have bit you in the face. And in my friend's case- another dog was there and she felt like the lady got between the two dogs- who weren't playing nice. Yours sounds pretty unprovoked so that's even more scary. I hope your big ouchie heals soon. That'll teach you to exercise :)
