Today I mailed in (with a nice, hefty check--that's what makes it official) an application for the bar exam in Arizona.
I have felt peace about this decision.
But I can't think about it too hard. I don't want to live in Arizona--I want forests of green trees, a garden, a lawn, lakes&rivers and curly hair. And of course I don't have a job in Arizona (but I don't have one anywhere, so that's not too outstanding). But I've made a decision and it feels right, even if my mind is still full of questions and maybe some worries. Mostly it feels wonderful to have made a decision and to be able to move forward from here.
If any of you have good suggestions for places to be in Arizona, people to contact about jobs, etc. --let me know.
p.s. On a completely different note. Nancy is gone (despite the fact that she's maybe a mile away). More about taking her to the MTC soon. :) Two happy things in one week.

Hooray for Arizona! We'll be there June 2011, hopefully you're still there. Check out Flagstaff and Prescott, maybe you've been there- there are some beautiful lakes and green pine trees :) more than you'll find in the PHX area at least. Prescott actually gets compared to Provo alot based on topography. I'm so glad that you feel peace about something and glad it's AZ! And yes, that's the same cemetery we tried to go to. You need to come back and visit!
Oh and I do know someone who is practicing law in AZ, he graduated from Duke, a friend of Evelyn's. I don't know what kind of law though. I can get you his contact info if you're interested.
Hooray for a decision you feel good about!! I hope more of your dreams follow in good time :-)
Oh and my sister lives in Chandler- not the green you were referring too though it has much more vegetation than Vegas. I know they have an adoption lawyer in their ward- and there might be more. Let me know if you want me to ask her about other lawyers.
I'm excited for you Ruth! I hope it will all work out perfectly ;) I really appreciate what you said about knowing the Lord's will for you. This life is so confusing sometimes - I'm grateful for your good example of faith and trust in the Lord! Good luck!
ARIZONA!!!
You'll actually be one of the few citizens of the Grand Canyon State who has actually been to the Grand Canyon :-)
Love, Suzan
