I love, love, love rain. Love it. And it's been raining here for the going on 3 days now. Which makes me SO happy. It's even managed to melt a lot of the big, nasty piles of dirty snow (not all, but a lot). Today is a perfect curl-up-with-a-book day. It's like winters growing up. It's like spring in Utah. It's happy. :)
And, to go with the rain, I had my annual Christmas party last night. I usually have it the Friday of reading days (in December), but this year--for a lot of reasons--it got moved. And it was fun to have it in January. Good to see lots of friends, old and new. I do enjoy having people over. We had chili, lots of treats/goodies, a fire and lots of visiting.
Eventually I suppose I should get back in school mode and catch up. Some day.
Nancy is back in town for a couple of days before she goes into the MTC. She flew in yesterday and is eager for Wednesday to come. Has to go to the orthodontist on Monday morning--that's why she's here early. This morning we three sisters, plus Amy Huong, went to the temple together. It was so nice!
Other note of interest. Lietta is starting to get chubby. I'm so excited! I love when babies reach the chubby stage. :) She's also smiley, making noises, etc. So cute and fun. I got to babysit her last Friday and she came to my party this Friday, plus I just saw her this afternoon (I tend to get more quality time if I go visit her when no one else is around!)
Well, that's an idea of what's going on in my life. I'm happy to be alive and well and surround by many good friends (including so much of my family). And in case there was any doubt, I'm happy it's raining. :)
