You know my favorite thing about snow? It makes the world quiet. It's pretty amazing how it muffles this city.
Second favorite thing about snow? It makes the world so much lighter. And the darkness of winter is the worst thing about winter, so I really, really appreciate that quality.
There are a lot of other things that are fun about snow. Which is good because we have incredible amounts of it. And this is one of the times when I love not having a car (less because of driving and more because parking is nearly impossible to find with the 6 foot (or more) piles of snow taking up more than their fair share of parking spaces).

I also love the quiet stillness of waking up on a snowy morning. My kind of heaven will have snow that falls every night and blankets the world in pure, clean bits of beauty.
But 6-feet is a little too much for me. I've been watching it on TV and I am stunned - especially after the heat I experienced this summer.
Ah now see, you just made me miss snow. I especially love the quietness. So peaceful. Enjoy.
LJ-I thought of you this weekend. One of my roommates had a friend here for a couple of days and she did touring. This weekend was actually really nice and made for good touring weather.
