"Good morning, Little Sunshine.
How did you wake so soon?
You scared the little stars away
And shone away the moon."
I don't particularly care for daylight savings time. I like to wake up early in the morning and I love light, so when the US Congress takes away an hour of my light, I don't feel particularly happy about it.
But that's changed this year. I'm so far north that it gets light so early, I don't care about the hour gone. The birds start singing by at least 4 a.m. (daylight savings time!!) and there is bright, persistent sunshine by 5:30 or so--before I'm ready to be awake, usually.
And it's still April. I'm trying not to imagine by June. And I'm really trying not to think about what this means for next winter. For now, just soaking it in.

Luckily for us, part of the early morning sunshine is simply due to being on the eastern edge of the time zone, which fortunately doesn't ever change....
Ah, yes. Good point. That's a happy thought.
