Anyway, funny thing was the mascot. Mineral Springs are hornets. Well, turns out, so are Hackett. So the cheering on both side of the fields agreed. At one point it was like an echo as their stands and ours were both cheering "Let's go hornets! Let's go!" about 4 seconds off from each other. And the announcer struggled to remember. Let me tell you, there were a lot of Hornet first downs in that game. :) (Although, our mascot is the cutest thing I've ever seen. And very good!)
I forgot to take my camera. But here are some pictures from Benson's first game. It was home, so the uniforms were different, but same difference basically. Oh, and it was 40 degrees warmer.
# 84. Tall, white boy. Easy to pick out.
Not so easy to get these sideline pictures. He plays almost the whole time. There's one special team that he doesn't do and that's when he takes his two breaks of the game. He's quite good. And, more importantly to me, he's a good sport and an excellent team member.
He looks scarey!
But don't worry. Underneath, he's still cute little baby Benson! :)

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, they did win. They were favored and at first were doing well. But the other team caught them at toward the end. Fortunately, they got the ball with 3 minutes and got a touch down. It sure did make for an exciting game!! (Much better than the last football game I saw.)
